Brightfish, Belgiums cinema sales house wanted to launch their latest promotion to advertisers by sending out an email. Unfortunately marketing and advertising companies have on of the lowest email click rates according to MailChimp research. Instead of a traditional email we sent marketing managers a WeTransfer that was not addressed to them but to their direct competitor.

At Engie they received a WeTransfer for Luminus, at ING one for BNP Paribas Fortis,… then we just waited to find out who would download the file containing -what they believed to be- a new commercial from their competitors
And we now know for sure that marketing professionals are curious people.** 49,2% of the marketing managers and 66,7% of the media agencies clicked and watched the WeTransfer-link.** Pretty impresive results considering the avarage industry click rates.
